Acceptable Use Policy

Rules for what you can and cannot do with Sovawave (https://sovawave.com), operated by THALVEN LTD (Company No. 17421785). This policy forms part of the Terms and Conditions and covers the website, accounts, APIs, prompts, uploaded files and generated videos and images. 1. Your core obligations What you submit, generate, publish and share through Sovawave is on you. Your activity must comply with the law, respect the rights and safety of others, and (where output will be published, sent or acted on outside your workspace) go through review by a qualified human first. 2. Unlawful or dangerous use Do not use Sovawave to plan, promote, facilitate or provide instructions for illegal conduct, including terrorism, human trafficking, illegal weapons, illegal drug production, fraud, unlawful gambling or the evasion of law enforcement. 3. Violence, abuse and self-harm Do not use Sovawave to harass, defame, threaten or humiliate people, or to promote hatred or discrimination against a protected group. Do not generate content or applications that encourage violence, non-consensual sexual acts, suicide, self-harm or eating disorders, or that are designed to cause serious physical or psychological harm. 4. Protection of minors Any content, product or feature that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child is strictly prohibited. This includes child sexual abuse material, grooming content, sexualised depictions of minors and material designed to facilitate abuse. Where relevant we may preserve records and report to the appropriate authorities. 5. Intimate and non-consensual content Do not use the image or video tools to generate sexual or nude imagery of real, identifiable people without their explicit consent. Do not create deepfake pornography, revenge material, or intimate imagery designed to harass, intimidate or humiliate. Do not use image-to-text or OCR tools to extract text from imagery of private documents you are not authorised to read. 6. Audio and voices in your videos Where a Sovawave model generates speech, sound or music as part of a video, that audio must not be used to clone or imitate the voice of a specific real person without their consent, to imitate a specific commercial recording artist’s protected voice or likeness for commercial use, to produce material that is likely to be mistaken for an official release or statement by an identifiable artist or person, or to reproduce copyrighted music or recordings you are not entitled to use. Follow the upstream terms of the underlying generation models when publishing generated content. 7. Deepfakes and real people Do not use Sovawave to generate video, image or motion content that shows real, identifiable individuals doing things they did not do, saying words they did not say, or appearing in contexts they did not consent to, where the content is designed or reasonably likely to deceive viewers, damage reputation, harass, defame, defraud or interfere with elections and civic processes. Educational or satirical uses that are clearly labelled and do not endanger anyone remain within the rules, but the burden of clarity is on the person producing and distributing the content. 8. Uploaded images and image-to-video When you upload a still to seed a render, use an image-to-video model, or otherwise provide reference imagery, you confirm that you have all rights necessary to use that image (whether by ownership, licence, subject consent or public-domain status) and to have Sovawave process it through the selected model. Do not upload imagery of a real, identifiable person for animation or motion generation without that person’s consent. Do not upload copyrighted stills, film frames, brand assets or licensed characters you are not entitled to use for the intended output. 9. Hacking and malicious code Do not use Sovawave to build, generate or distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, keyloggers, botnets, exploit kits, phishing pages or credential harvesters. Do not generate code intended to gain unauthorised access to systems, exfiltrate data, deface services, or facilitate any attack you are not expressly authorised to perform. Legitimate security research, penetration testing, capture-the-flag exercises and educational demonstrations are allowed only where you have express written permission for the target, and where the output is used strictly within that authorisation. 10. Scams, impersonation and deception Do not use Sovawave to create phishing sites, scams, deceptive deepfakes, fake reviews, fraudulent storefronts or applications that impersonate real people, brands or institutions without authority. Do not use the service to build tools designed to manipulate elections or civic processes. 11. Third-party rights and privacy Have the rights you need before submitting or generating material based on someone else’s work. Do not upload confidential source code, credentials, personal data or other information you are not authorised to submit. Do not use Sovawave to expose private information, imitate a real person without authority, or infringe copyright, trade marks, patents, trade secrets, publicity rights or privacy rights. 12. Protecting the platform You may not: • probe, scan or otherwise test Sovawave or any connected system without express written permission; • gain unauthorised access to an account, model, dataset or piece of infrastructure; • upload code intended to damage, monitor or disrupt our systems; • bypass safety filters, rate limits, usage controls or checkout controls; • reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract proprietary source code, model weights or prompt templates; • interfere with availability or place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure. 13. Bots, scraping and spam Bots, crawlers and other automated tools may be used only where Sovawave expressly allows them. Respect published API rules, rate limits and fair-use thresholds. Do not use Sovawave to send spam, chain messages, bulk promotions or unsolicited communications. 14. Fair use of credits and promotions Do not attempt to exploit bugs, race conditions or inconsistencies in the credit-consumption system to spend fewer credits than a generation actually costs, or to obtain access beyond the balance you have paid for. Do not create additional accounts to farm promotional credits or bypass suspensions and fraud checks. 15. Truthful account details Registration and payment details must be truthful. Do not open an account on behalf of somebody else without authority, use false, stolen or synthetic payment credentials, or create additional accounts to circumvent restrictions. 16. What we may do about breaches We may investigate reports and use technical or human review to detect misuse. Depending on the seriousness and context we may warn a user, remove or restrict content, limit a feature, suspend or close an account, preserve evidence or report conduct to authorities. In serious cases we may act without prior warning. 17. How to report a concern To report suspected misuse, write to [email protected] with a description of the issue, any links or screenshots, and (if you have it) an account or user identifier. We treat reports confidentially so far as we can. 18. Relevant law This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
